August 7, 2026: Next Fresh Friday Market on 2nd Street in Maysville, Kentucky. 6:00 pm- 9:00 pm. Please come see us. Go eat dinner at Babz Bistro or Sol and Sage, or Hippie Burger then come shop the market. It can be a whole thing. These markets have been pretty slow so it would be amazing to see some people come through and support the vendors.
September 3, 2026: OAK Field Day at Loving Farm where we will be talking about the development of a filter strip along the railroad track in addition to other ways we incorporate conservation on our farm. It is free to attend and our favorite vegan food cart will be here selling her delicious food. Be ready to NERD OUT!
Saturday, September 26, 2026: To celebrate the harvest moon, we are teaming up with Graceful Serenity Yoga for a half day retreat hosted here at the farm filled with flower crown crafting, yoga, herbal teas and a sound bath! Reserve your spot today!

Hello Flower Lovers!
First thing’s first. Here is the pickle recipe you asked for.
The biggest focus of the week was preparing for our flower arranging class on Sunday. It might not sound like a lot to you, but there were 9 people who paid for their entry for a private event on our farm which to us was quite a jackpot of a booking.
Things we worked on throughout the week were cleaning the Flower Studio, prepping the warehouse, cooking yummy snacks, and cleaning the house. Of course we had to make a cut list of all of the ingredients we would need for the class, cut and prepare the flowers, and get them all prettied up in vases for their big day. There were so many good teas to sip on made with herbs grown right here on our farm and yes, there were cookies. Perriee and I want to make people feel pampered when they leave the farm after a visit.
All of the people were absolutely wonderful, and per usual made the most amazing arrangements with the flowers. We got to take a walk in the production field and nerd out a little about harvest stage of certain flowers and guests got to choose a flower to cut themselves. I talked with them about the 6 elements of flower design as I learned from Ellen Frost and we shared tips on how to keep your blooms fresh! The group even got to have a duck encounter with Howard and got to see the ladies do a little foraging.

Aside from that, we had a class through UK Friday where we were inspired to get some fall seeds in the trays. I made a run to Frankfort with some flowers for the shop, and I got some weeding done up in the pollinator patch. George helped. We also sat for a Trademark Farmer webinar on Monday which inspired us to make a sign to post at the end of our driveway that says we sell flowers. I think it is time we do a little roadside advertising don’t you think?
Pride and Flock Update:
Howard got extra attention from our visitors at our flower arranging day, so he earned his living for once. All you have to do is let him out of his enclosure and pick him off one of the ladies while he is losing his mind! It is an easy catch for a duck, and then no one needs to touch the lady ducks, which they very much appreciate. If you know ducks, you know what I mean. They certainly are not the cuddly type.
George is back to feeling great and peed in the indoor potty which was huge for him! He is always the best patient.
