Hello Flower Friends!!
We busted out of the algorithm this week and saw some people up close that we rarely or have never gotten to share space with. In other words, our Earth Day celebration was spectacular. Welcome those of you who are new here and congratulations to the two folks who won the email list raffle!

The sound bath was the best way to kick off the day with Kristen from Graceful Serenity Yoga. The bug walk with the entomologists was so informative, learning that we had native bees and ladybugs (or at least one of each) and they pointed out some things to watch out for like the cocklebur weevil that they spotted while scouting our flower field.
Once again, the vegan food cart was delicious and the vendors brought all of the beautiful things: handmade art, locally roasted coffee and local beer. Also, like last year, your artwork that you painted from our plant-name list is OUTSTANDING and we cannot wait to post it all around the farm. The music was exactly what we all needed. We are so, so grateful for each and every one of you who took the time to come to celebrate with us from hours north to hours south.

The theme of the weekend was making connections with the earth, with one another, and with ourselves. There was such a beautiful interweb of friendships represented, some old and some brand new, all feeling meant to be. Taking the opportunity to paint something gave you time to spend with yourself and connect with the creativity that obviously is bubbling inside of everyone. It is our privilege to share this beautiful planet and this little piece of it that we care for with each of you. Thank you for loving her so good.

Whether you were able to come here or just checked in from afar, you overwhelmed us this week with gifts of seedlings, herbal tea, plumbing upgrades, analog entertainment, ceramic beauty, cool videos and pictures of the day, time, trust, food, and love.
Now it is time to get some plants in the ground and move some blooms. We both feel energized and excited to do so. The warm weather seedlings are ready to be hardened off and put into the ground and it is time to get some planters started for THE wedding that we are flowering for this August at the brewery.

Come see us this Friday in Maysville from 6:00 – 9:00 for the monthly Fresh Friday market on 2nd street. We will definitely have some sort of wrapped bouquets and a couple of loaves of bread to take you through the next week. Let us know if you need anything from us in the meantime.
Pride update: The kitties did so good with all of the company. Gray always is the most skittish but you could tell she still sort of wanted to enjoy it. Oscar and Tux love all of the people and have exhausted themselves to the point of napping. Howard made a spectacle of himself Saturday evening when he broke into the ladies’ side of the run while our friends laughed at his little bowling pin-self as I put him back. He is a handsome fellow. That is a fact.
