Enjoy a beer from Turtleback Ridge Brewery! They will be selling a variety of their micro brewed libations. It is definitely a place you should visit, tucked away in the woods only 20 minutes from us. They have the coziest tap room with a porch overlooking their Maple grove. On top of it all, the folks who own the place are some amazing humans who care about community.
Make some art! We are setting up a paint station for folks to make a plant marker to leave here and one to take home. Free99! We need more art around the farm and we have lots of scrap wood pieces left over from when we built our big deck that make perfect signs. If you are so inclined, when you come visit, we will have a list of plants that we have around the farm for you to choose and make a sign for. As a, “thank you” you can make one to take home with you. Thanks to The Kentucky Flower Market and Sunflower Sundries for donating paint supplies to make this project come to life.
Take a walk in the field! We have trails mowed out for you to meander around in.
Flower Studio: The studio will be open for self-guided touring from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. We have guests staying in the back room, which will be closed for their privacy. If you are interested in booking a stay with us, check out this link. There will be a few of our floral items and plant starts for sale via the honor system. If you see a priced item that you would like to purchase, you can pay in the green money box in the Warehouse or send us a Venmo. One of us will have change if needed!
Parking: You can park along Nepton Road, in front or along the side of the pollinator patch which is marked out with an orange reflective string. There are also spots along the railroad track where we have parking spots marked out for you with a red “P”.

The forecast says it might rain a little bit, but if you need to pitch a tent for the night, the volleyball court is mowed and there are a couple of spots along the creek. We have a porta- potty for use onsite with a hand washing station. If you need water, the spigot outside of the Flower Studio is ok to use
Be sure to check out the Nepton Greenhouse, on the other side of the railroad tracks immediately before leaving the neighborhood. It is bursting with flowers and veggie starts, owned by some of Nepton’s own, Nancy and Daniel Hertzler. It is such a flex to live up the road from an amazing plant nursery.
If you ever wanted to come to an event here at our farm, this is the chance. This season has quickly filled up with lots of things we were really not planning on so we will probably not have another event like this until next year, aside from maybe a workshop or two if the universe allows! Saying that, the Warehouse is open for rentals of up to 100 people for $300 an hour or $2500 for 30 hours (to accommodate a drop off/set up time the night prior). Contact us for details if you need a funky space for your next gathering.
A little back story about the Warehouse: When took over the care of the land that is now Loving Farm in 2020, the Warehouse was not part of the space initially. It was owned by another group of fellas who used it for hanging tobacco. About a year after living here, we noticed a “FOR SALE” sign up front and called immediately to see about how we could purchase it. When I worked at my old job, my desk faced the Warehouse and I would stare at it, seeing a big face, with its upper doors open looking back at me, and the big sliding doorway’s big grin. It just felt right.

Since then, we have rented it once to some folks around the corner to hang tobacco in. We learned it was cigar tobacco and that when you rent out the barn for drying, you get paid by the “rail” which is a whole row of 2 poles stretched across the rafters with tobacco sticks holding spikes of the plants resting across them. It was fun to watch the mules hauling it in, but the cleanup afterward was not at all enjoyable. We knew we would not want to manage that again, so event space it is!

Last year a member of Hogtown, Nick, who we met at Turtleback offered to help build a stage for the Warehouse if we were interested in hosting bands. We of course said, yes! On a hot June day last summer, he and his spouse, Jen came over and we knocked out a stage after chainsawing about 15 trees that had grown too tall along the outside of the building.

We promptly scheduled our first two gatherings, the first with Highly Likely that July, then with Hogtown in November. Each one was so amazing that we wanted to have a full day of it all, so when we found out about Violet and the Newsroom via Clay, Earth Day 2025 was born. Hope to see yas there! Love Marietta and Perriee
