Important Dates:
June 1, 2025: Next subscriber giveaway drawing.
July 9th 2025: Save the date! Community Farm Alliance (CFA) is coming to Loving Farm to talk with us about agrotourism, another one of our favorite topics. Once we have the registration information, we will be sure to share it here. Participation is free of charge but spots will be limited so you will want to sign up asap. The program will include a brief tour of our farm, followed by a speaker chosen by CFA to talk about ways to increase the success of agrotourism on Kentucky farms.
June 14, 2025: Fleming County Farmers Market opening day!
Thank you to everyone who supported our little farm this week. It was a pleasure cutting and designing for you all and chatting about flowers. As always, let us know how we can help for your special occasions or “just becauses”. If you need a fresh arrangement or bouquet, tell us your price point and we will make something beautiful happen.

We did not make it to the flower market in Frankfort this week. Hopefully we can swing through there later this coming week with some extra blooms that we have opening up. It is hard to believe that peony season is over already. There are maybe two more buds outside that we will be taking for a couple of special arrangements this week.
Now it is time for yarrow season. The golden yarrow we started from seed last year is really looking tall and juicy. It reminds me of cauliflower, the way the flower heads are forming. We have so many spots around the farm with it and I can’t wait to see it all fully awaken. We will keep some to dry it and sell some fresh. In addition to the yellow yarrow, we have our summer berries mix and a few more new-to-us yarrow plants we started from seed last year that are a mystery variety from seeds we brought home, foraged from a nice farm in Indiana couple of years ago.

Except for hoping to plant a few zinnia and sunflower seeds, we are about done fretting over annuals. There are still plenty to plant but whatever gets in at this point is good enough.
Aside from yarrow, other things blooming are salvia, little forget-me-nots, cinquefoil, statice, and a couple of anenomes from some bulbs (or whatever they are called) that we planted a few months ago. The dianthus and chamomile and daisies are still looking hot.
